Farnham Castle Weddings
Farnham Castle Weddings are amongst my favourite! Every girl dreams of getting married in a castle right, and Farnham Castle is right on my doorstep. I am lucky to be recommended by this amazing venue, so have the pleasure of photographing here on a fairly regular basis. that said, no two weddings are the same, and it still inspires me to find such a venue with a great variety of very photogenic surroundings, both for Summer and Winter weddings. farnham Castle weddings are also usually so relaxed and so much fun, everything that you could possibly need is there, including a chapel if you wish to have a more intimate and religious blessing.
Hanaa and Sangeedham planned their wedding with a huge amount of help from Hanaa’s sister Haddiyah. She initially contacted me to see if I was free, and after a few conversations over the phone, I finally got to meet with the busy couple. Their wedding was a fusion of colour and classic elements, I particularly loved Hanaa’s amazing Louboutin shoes which set the standard for the day. Sangeedham had created a bespoke box for his wife to be – getting all of those detail shots are really important, as they are a perfect way of creating a full story in any wedding album.
Peppones Restaurant in Crondall was the location for the wedding of Kelly and Jeremy at the very end of last year. Kelly and Jez are the type of people who everyone wants to be around, and anyone would want as a friend. From the moment that I first met them, their relaxed and giggly attitude to their wedding was refreshing, and catching! For them it was all about the food, the party, and just celebrating being together. The fact that it was a wedding, and to be held at their favourite eatery Peppones Restaurant in Crondall, was just part of the fun and relaxed vibe that they created.
Its apt that I am blogging about this on a very wet and windy day, as wedding wellies were bought and on the ready for the shots that we did outside! Luckily the weather was beautiful, and the wellies more for the wet grass than any rain. I love it when clients have ideas that they want to use, as it makes the wedding photographs, and the whole wedding day itself feel much more personal.
Another touch that I loved was the cans tied to the back of Kelly’s beloved Mercedes! Their wedding ceremony was held at Guildford Registry office, and as they left, the clanking of cans as they bounced down the drive is something that I will remember for a while! The journey from Guildford to Crondall was uneventful, but it was the last leg, as we approached Peppones Restaurant that you have to negotiate pot holes galore before driving up to a small oasis of calm at the end. The welcome was warm and very Italian, with drinks at the ready, and comfy sofas and welcome drinks for all of the wedding guests.
What I love about my job as a wedding photographer, is that every wedding is different. Each couple bring their own character and feeling to the day, and whether its a stunning Georgian mansion, or a cosy Italian restaurant tucked next to a golf club, my job remains the same. Its about capturing the love and the romance, the fun and the emotion, and most of all, providing every couple with a set of images that will provide generations of memories. On that note – I would just like to say a huge congratulations to Kelly and Jez, who not only have so recently tied the knot, but have just let me know that they are expecting twins! I wish them all the happiness and laughter for the future, and look forward to hearing about their next adventure together.
An exclusive wedding at Farnham Castle
Are you dreaming of an Exclusive wedding at Farnham Castle? Last November I had the great pleasure of photographing Zoe and Rob’s wedding at Farnham Castle. From our very first meeting, I realised that Zoe & Robs requirements from their wedding photographer were the perfect fit to my natural, and romantic style of wedding photography.
As a recommended supplier, I have photographed many exclusive weddings at Farnham Castle, but every time it feels so different! Every couple brings their own personality to their wedding day, and all the details and wedding decorations, plus the personalities of all their friends and family, make every wedding there so unique.
I love photographing the bridal preparations at The Gatehouse, and possibly one of my favourite photographs from last year was taken at Zoe and Rob’s wedding as her bridesmaid peaked around the door while make-up was being done. My kind of photograph!
In fact two of my favourite shots from last year were taken at this wedding! There was a moment outside just after the ceremony, the light was fading fast as it does at a winter wedding, and so we only had a very short time to get some photographs in before heading back to the drinks reception.
As we were finishing off, I spotted the moon and decided that this was a must have shot! Not easy to do, and not all photographers carry a tripod these days, but it is for those one off moments that I am so glad I did! It has also become Zoe and Rob’s favourite photo from the day, and quite a talking point amongst their guests who cannot believe that it was not created in photoshop.
For me being a wedding photographer is about unobtrusively capturing all of those precious and emotional moments throughout any wedding, but at the same time using my experience, and creativity as an artist to also give you something a little bit different, something unique to you and your wedding. That is where my skill really comes in, and what hopefully sets your wedding photographs apart from everyone else’s.
Its a once in a lifetime experience, and my pleasure to provide once in a lifetime images of you both together.
Thank you Zoe and Rob for choosing me to be a part of your exclusive wedding at Farnham Castle! And thank you also for your wonderful review on google that you can read here : REVIEW
Great Fosters a Fairytale Wedding Venue
You can’t get much better than Great Fosters a fairytale wedding venue in Egham Surrey. I have known Leigh for many years, as I also photographed her sisters wedding many years ago, and Leigh was a bridesmaid. It was lovely after so long to see the family again and catch up with very familiar faces for their wedding at Great Fosters.
They chose Great Fosters as their Fairytale wedding venue as all of Alex’s family and friends came over from France to be with them on their special day. Great Fosters offered a beautiful slice of truly English heritage and certainly has that wow factor that they wanted all of their guests to enjoy. With its manicured gardens and beautifully ornate architecture Great Fosters is a Fairytale wedding venue! Believe it or not the rain did force us inside for part of the drinks reception! As always with a bit of pre-planning for indoor locations for groups and Bride and Groom portraits, – we were still able to make good use of the beautiful rooms inside, as well as nipping back out into the gardens afterwards for some photographs in the rose garden, and over by the lake.
For me all of the guests and the candids showing the story of your wedding day. The people that you have invited, and their emotions & laughter forms a very important part of any wedding coverage. It was a pleasure to move in amongst the guests and feel so comfortable and welcome. What I enjoy most about being chosen to photograph a second wedding for the same family, is that everyone already knows the relaxed way in which I work, the type of images that I can capture without anyone having to put any effort in. This always gives me the freedom to roam and shoot getting such relaxed expressions as people soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the wedding which is what everyone is there to do! You won’t find me barking orders or taking over – everything is planned beforehand meaning you get some posed wedding photographs making the most of the light and location, but at the same time, can mingle and relax – and enjoy time with your guests.
This is a venue that I don’t get to visit often enough really! Considering that I am fairly local if you are planning a wedding at Great Fosters, then get in touch – I would love to return very soon! I hope you have enjoyed readingGreat Fosters a Fairytale Wedding Venue
A Farnham Castle wedding
Are you also planning a Farnham Castle wedding?
I am lucky to be recommended by Farnham Castle, and so have another lovely Farnham Castle wedding to share with you! I live very locally to this stunning venue, so feel lucky to be able to capture many beautiful weddings there. It still opens up new ideas and places for photographs every time that I go! I put this largely down to each individual couple and their style and characters, as to which parts of the Castle grounds or Keep they wish to go to. That, combined with the changing seasons, leaves endless variety and choices for where and how the photographs can be taken. A lot of what I do is very natural and relaxed, capturing the wedding guests chatting and mingling; the flower girls as they twirl and play; and just using my eyes that are constantly roaming and finding the little shots of events happening around me.
Alice and Mansel were a joy to photograph! I work very much at a short distance so that you do not feel to pressured or posed, but at the same time, I also like to have a lot of input into light direction, background, and yes also to an extent pose, but this is all done through gentle suggestions of ‘ hug him close’ or ‘grab him tightly’ – it just gives me the slightest amount of control that I need to provide you with high quality, professional level wedding photographs, but doesn’t leave you feeling awkward or embarrassed.
The photographs here are a mixture of both of a completely reportage style, as well as a few classic images of bride and groom together. For me it is important to also capture that love and emotion between you, just by spending 15 minutes away from your guests, and yes, bring a glass of bubbly too! I have heard of so many couples requesting only a reportage style, to afterwards regret not having any of just the two of them together, or no full length shots, or none of the bride and her mother. Usually tales that are told to me by other wedding guests who are observing my mix of styles, and telling me of the gaps that they experienced in their own wedding photographs. I realise that everyones requirements are different, and I do tailor my timings to suit how you want your day to run, but I also make sure that all elements of the day are covered both in a slightly classical portrait way (by that I don’t mean stuffy!), and a natural storytelling style. Both which sit beautifully together in a wedding album.
If you are planning a Farnham Castle wedding I would love to hear from you and find out more about your wedding! I get great pleasure out of meeting new people at a very exciting time I their lives. I also realise that you need to feel comfortable as well as trust your wedding photographer, so what better way to meet me in person to find out how I may be the photographer for you!?
